The theme of this photography series looks at architectural brickwork and how it shows the passage of time in a more urban environment. I wanted to look at how bricks fade over time and even erode. I showed a variety in texture through peeling paint and moss-covered brick, and a variety in brickwork through tight symmetrical patterns to crumbling organic decay. I also chose to use close and wide shots to show texture and detail, as well as the impressiveness of the historic fading. With this series, I wanted to bring attention to the stories that are told through the buildings and walls around us.
